Effortlessly chic has been on our mind today which is why we have chosen to blog about maxi dresses. When the weather gets warmer we look forward to several things:

1. Margaritas on the patio...tres por favor!
2. Going to the lake... or let's say beach if we are talking about vT...
3. Open toe shoes.... now we HAVE to get a pedicure
4. Maxi dresses! ... comfort and ease, yes please

Although one can wear a long dress year round{and we definitely do}, this weather just gets us in the mood to dig through the dress section of our closet {which IS color coordinated thanks to j.doolittle, the closet organization extraordinare} throw on a long dress, wrap and some open toe shoes and head out the door. It is almost as if you can let your hair air dry and wear less makeup when you have on a long flowing dress. This style of dress has been around for a few seasons now, but we are really seeing some colorful and rich prints pop up, which of course we are loving.

The great thing about maxi dresses is that layering over them is completely acceptable and you can create several looks with one dress. Grab your margarita, let's put on some maxi dresses and go get a pedicure before we go to the beach! See ya there!
