good friends, good food...

Dyspepsia is the remorse of a guilty stomach.  ~A. Kerr

I am a firm believer that food and wine taste better when shared with the ones you love, which is exactly why tonight's meal was soo scrumptious. On the menu: Turkey Feta Burgers and Roasted Rosemary Fingerling Potatoes... It was a delight to cook for my old college roommate, her loved one and my new roommate. We opened all the windows, put on some good tunes and had some good laughs. On a side note..wear a fedora to Whole Foods and you might be lucky enough to run into Archie {who happens to love fedoras} and he will give you a free bag of organic fingerling potatoes {$6 value}. Thank you Archie. This delicious recipe is as follows...

Ingredients for Turkey Burgers
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 diced white onion
1 green bell pepper, diced
1/2 c feta cheese
4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste

I like to cook these burgers on a cast iron skillet{that is if a grill is unavailable}

|1.| In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix with hands.
|2.| Form into 5 medium 1/2 inch thick round patties.
|3.| Put burgers on warm skillet and cook on each side about 5 minutes, until cooked throughly throughout, flipping often.
|4.| Top with lettuce, tomato, avocado and extra feta and add condiments of choice. Enjoy!

Roasted Rosemary Fingerling Potato Ingredients
1 lb organic fingerling potatoes, sliced in half
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/4 c chopped fresh rosemary
juice from 1/2 lemon
salt and pepper

|1.| In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.
|2.| Pour potatoes evenly on a baking sheet.
|3.| Bake 30 minutes @ 400 degrees, or until tender enough to pierce with fork.
|4.| Serve with turkey burgers to complete the meal!
